glad tt my last nite was a peacful one.. first nite had one last office to do during my shift. like wat we expected cos his condition was really bad.. may be a blessing in disguise, at least he dun have to continue with the suffering. 2nd nite wasn't tt gd either.. busy till 2 3am then finally settle down..

piss off w my new roster... just finished my 4 nites and there goes... welcome another 3 more nites following wk with both arms widely open:( damn pisss off nvr-ending nites for me. i'm tired of doin nites.. i can't sleep in the day.. gt to abuse pro***** to help me sleep in the day after every nite shift(pls dun learn hor..)
stuck up w nvr-ending charts n hrly monitoring for my first 2 nites..
n coludn't let me work in peace for my last nite.. sickenin pts in the ward makes me racist..
nvr-ending call bells, though u dun have to pay for pressing the call bell compared to private hosp. tt doesn't mean tt u cn press like nobody business lo.... damn it.. stuck up attitude in**an man... + another crazy abusive in**an ah pe. "u wan to beat me ah?? i call the police ah." makes him more irritated, lols. givin me problems through my few nites.. irritatin + low pain threshold in**an MANs.. though nt all in**an r like this, but most of them i've meet r iritating!!
was quite suai yesterday.. early in the mornin, before i end my last nite shift.. there comes a weird2 woman.. tons of qns + lots of weird weird behaviour + nagging non-stop to her husband, stuck there for quite some time just to complete the admisssion procedure w her.. afternoon on my way down to meet ting in the train, a young boy suddenly puke in the train cabin.. just had my shower only:( ganna my leg abit la bt cnnt blame him la he nt feelin well. was havin dinner w ting @ cine, went off for awhile to collect something.. when i was back ting told me someone accidentally knocks on to our table, and there goes our food.. poor ting gt her clothes dirty.

after 2 days of mc, i'm back in the ward agn.. realised tt a pt whom i'm specialising w a few days has gt MRB to the sputum, droplet n contact precaution great...:, lols. guessed tts where my URTI comes from, haha. its always like tis, after contact w a pt for quite some time then found out tt he has MRSA to wound, to tissue... guess soon i'll have tons of virus n bacteria in me, haha..
helped out millie in the clarke quay bazaar last nite, her first time tryin out. there's crowd bt quite bored haha. ended up eating n chatting. oh.. n enjoyin the beautiful scenery of the hunks n babes there haha. was quite worn out, started packing up the stall ard 12.30. back to my comfy bed by 2, doze off soundly haha.

hmm.. for info. i'm posted to plastic reconstructive anaesthetic surgery n eye, in short its.. PRAS.
ya.., its more abt plastic surgery tt includes wat u cn think of cosmetic surgery like breast enlargement, liposuction, gender reassignment n stuff haha.. bt its nt just plainly these la.. most of the cases r actually reconstructive surgery for CA, RTA, sores, cleft lip n palate. anyway, its a specialised ward so gt lots of things for me to catch up.. struggling..
finally finish the i/v medications exam.. dun know if cn pass anot.. scary.. bt at least i cleared one task.. gt more things to complete.. argh.. wanna bite ppl le, lols.

Hurrays, i'm back in SG!! hee. . i miss sg badly lols.
returned from hk last sat mornin. the trip to hk was fine. the only thing tt i cnnt tahan is tt hk ppl are rude n attitude. their customer service damn sucks. there r friendly hk ppl too of course bt majority of them r rude n no manners lo. so be prepared if u're goin hk, lols.
suppose to return back to sg last sat ard 1 am bt then typhoon came to hk. we were stucked in the hk airport. there were no news regarding our boarding time.. the only thing we could do is to wait.. the airport was filled with ppl. everybody was cooped there. there were china ppl protesting demanding for compensation.. we were stucked in the airport almost 7 hrs. took pics, chat, shop shop, drink coffee, napping... tts wat we did to help us pass time. zzzzz.. i only napped for hmm.. 15mins i guess n millie woke mr up to bring me the happi news.. our boarding time is out finally..
i'm back in sg @ 7am hurrays.. hee.

hmm, so long since i last updated my blog le. so wat did i do recently.
hmm, came back from genting last wk. sadly, i came back empty-handed. did nt manage to buy anything over there. bt i returned w a 'big belly' lols, ate alot over there, came eating nothing non-stop n its freaking cold for me.
went med checkup for pre-employment tis tue. gt probs lo, hai:( dr referred me to sgh resp specialist n out of no where, my bld test results turn out to be anaemic. sian, referred me to polyclinic for further checkup. waited 2 hrs to see dr and take my bld for some bld tests. gt to wait for a wk before i know the results. aiyo, lots of prob la.
anyway, hope tt everything will be settled by april so i cn go hk for holi in peace. ooo, n also enjoyed shopping spree over there, lols.

okay.. in case u guys were wonderin wat we usually do during nite shift, cos looks like ppl r curious lols. okay, first thing i dun see 'hao xiong di' when i do nite shift. i cnnt see n i also dun wanna see la. actually nite shift isn't tt scary as ppl tot la. though there are lesser staffs bt nt so wu lu like u tot la. maybe becos c class the cubicles are nearer to each other so gt colleagues next door so nt so lonely la.
it depends on luck when workin nite shift. if u're lucky, then nothing much happens, pts soundly asleep till dawn. if u're unlucky, u'll have dementia or confused pts tryin to prerform 'stunts' lols, nvr-ending bedpan calling n resuscitation if someone collapse.
so far my nite shifts have been quite smoothly for me.. anyway ended all my nites yay!!

i had a shock out of my life today.. i had a surprised b'day party held at my hse waitin for me in which i totally had no clue to it lols. my 2nd sis actually organise a mini b'day party for me at hm today. i had no idea abt it. i acc my cousin go shop for her x'mas present then we headed back to my grandma hse for dinner. i glanced through my hse window n it was pitich dark. when i opened the door, i was shocked to see so many ppl in my hse. there r my close relatives, willie n shan. yes, its WILLIE n SHAN.. i gt a shock, i tot i see wrongly. i didn't expect my parents to celebrate my b'day for me. neither did i expect them to invite willie n shan along to the b'day party.
seriously, i'm touched by wat my family did n prepared in order to give me a surprise. its been so long since i last had a b'day party. hope to have more family gatherings in future to build the family bond. hee.

okay, nw i know i'm nt suitable for nite shifts, lol. workin 3 nite seems to be squeezing me dry slowly lol. gt to keep stuffing myself with lots of sweets to keep myself awake. its always after 3am, tts the time whereby my body n mind shuts off haha. i'll always be dozing off on my way hm (so ugly, no image le, lol), bt once i reach hm i cnnt get into sleep. no matter how sleepy i m, i just can't get into my dreamland during the day. keep havin tt 'stupid' on n off sleeps.
anyway, workin nite to me seems to be like a thief, lol. gt to be so quiet, scare later wake up the pts, hee. nothin much for workin nite, just hmm nvr endin bedpans, paras, lols.
some dr. r just so irresponsible n bo chap attitude. cn call him a few Xs in the nite to come down n review pt bt he cn just simply drag n drag dun appear one lo. come on if pt condition nt serious we will nt be so bo liao to call u in the middle of the nite to update u with her condition lo. come on, its definitely scary to ask an old lady to go for an op esp. when its under GA lo, the complications from the op will definitely be much more higher compared to a youngster la. then the pt bld pressure is soo continuously high whereby the meds tt we gave her does nt work lo n the best thing is.. she's scheduled for op the next day. she's worried tt she's shivering lo. hai..
sometimes there's nothin much we cn really do to help, tts whereby we feel helplesss..
havin off these 2 days, so i've tried to make full use of them lol. most prob i will nt get off for both my b'day n christmas bt wat to do ne, i gt to get use to it, its nursing life, lols. bt i dun regret taking nursing, heee. anyway, has been helpin out my fren @ her shop during my 2 days off for tis wk cos something crop up in her family. seems like everybody nt 'fine' lately, hai. hope tt everything will be fine.

nw i'm hangin round @ shan's hse. hmm, i had lots of fun helpin 'jie' tend her shop. catch up w ting, had chat with celine, gossip n play ard w lao nan ren, demon n 'banana' lols. i miss the fun times tt i had when i work @ central, hee.
wander ard town area w shan n bumped into ah cong, lols. i heard someone called out my name while crossin the road. i turned back n there he is ah cong, lols, with his friends. did nt manage to tok to him. just greeted him back n continue crossin lols.
we waited for 'jie' n had dinner together. we hang ard 'lao bei place' for 3 hrs lols. the crew there kept lookin at us, lol, n we continued the chattin n gossipin haha.
'Old Bird' drived 3 of us ard. we headed for changi. shan suggested old cgh bt then we were scared so we u-turn back down lols then we went round changi village to see ah gua then headed for changi beach. we stroll a short dist, hang ard n chatted there. we had a great time, thanks to jie n Old Bird lols.

i'm honoured tt 'jie' they all have a gd impression of me, bt on the other hand i also felt stress cause i'm nt so nice as they tot, lols.

its medical ward for tis geron posting.. hmm, i'm busy like mad in the cubicle everyday. dun have time go for break, bt its okay la i dun mind at most take it as a form of jian fei lo. lols. its been long since we last had attachment in the ward so nw back to it, i feel like i'm back to yr 1 like tt, nt used to it.
beth n me workin ot almost everyday tis wk in the ward. its nvr-endin changing diapers, serving bedpan/commode. just coping w the diapers n bedpan left me no time to update my hrly para on time. i dun mind doin these basic nursing care, bt these kept me no time to perform other skills.
sometimes i wonder, the family members are at the bedside, why can't they help their love ones do these basic hygiene care? they r your love ones, i dun think u should mind cleanin them up. dun they help to clean u up with their love when u're young? so y can't do tt back to your own parents? i'm nt grumbling cos i'm lazy to help clean up the pts. seriously, i dun mind doin tt at all. but its just tt sometimes the family members cn see tt we're really veriiii busy n stress up w our work. (i cn clean the same pt 3X/half an hr n tts nt the only pt who request for tt) so y can't they do it themselves? its nt as though they dun know how to do it. some just happily sit there enjoy their food while we help clean up their love ones, while others just simply sit there. y cn't they take the initative to help us together in the cleanin up esp. when they see tt i'm the only one to clean up n how they expect me to carry n turn the pts alone w/o any help when they r weak n heavy. i'm havin backache from all the struggling in clean n carryin pts.

hee, remember i was told tt AH-ED has gt lots of handsome guys? haha, yeah finally i manage to see one hee.. lol. the handsome 'australian' dr. fung haha. (he's nt an ang moh, he's a chinese who doesn't speak mandarin at all.) i guess told who have been to ED posting @ AH should be familiar with him. heard tt he is popular among the nursing students posted there esp. the NP gals, they 'drool' over him lol.
hmm, tomrow mornin shift. omg. gt to wake real early, 4.30am. hm, yeah i left almost 5 hrs to sleep haha.
ED posting at AH is nt tt fun. dun really have serious case, hardly see P1 cases. sorri i know i sounded bad la like wan ppl to be in critical condition like tt bt nt lo. its just tt i'm sure u'll get to see lots of emergency cases @ NUH n SGH. bt till nw i haven gt to see any resuscitation cases. actually, quite disappointing for me la. i dun intend to work in ED so tis will actually be my only chance to learn n 'experience' the working situation in ED.
today: triage, ECG, bedpan, urinals, para, BGM. nothin much actually.
oh yeah, share something interesting with u guys. hmm, i helped to translate for a doc today. he asked the pt " Are you sexually active?" so how would u ask th eot if u were me? i'm like hmm how do i translate n ask tt pt in mandarin. i stunned tt for awhile n asked the pt "Hmm, yi shen wen ni.. hmm... hmmm.. hmm, ni you xing ai ma? hmm, ni zui jing you xing ai ma." i was shocked by how i phrased the qn, i sounded so crude. omg. the pt paiseh n i paiseh too. i was lost with words at tt moment. dun know how to ask. after tt i went to ask my friends how would u phrase tt qn if u were to translate. the best ans i heard is :"ni zui jing you xing fang ma?" there were other funni n crap ans i had in reply from my frens n 'they' i mean the ans tt they gave me were hilarious which also made my day haha.
hope the 'embarrassment' i made on myself cn help to put a smile on your face. :)

yay! today last day OT attachment, almost all cases on TURP. hangin ard OT helpin out as a circulating nurse, time passes veri fast, soon end of day le. ya gt one interestin thing to share: today gt one MCP surgeon 'tested' me, luckily nvr gt tricked by him if nt no face ah. yr 3 dun know principles of aseptic techniques haha. though tis is a basic thing tt we should know, bt i still feel so proud tt i nvr gt tricked, nvr lose face in front of those MCP surgeons hahaha.
attachment + work = tired.

hm, forgt to mention abt tis yesterday. heard fr one of the nyp lecturer mention tt 1 nyp student jumped down from HDB in her nursing uniform lately i guess. dun know the reason behind it bt i guess maybe due to the stress during attachment ba. she did nt turned up for work tt morning. i guess i cn understand, sometimes the stress tt u experience during attachment cn really 'kill' you so i guess you'll need to find someone to tok to, someone who cn understand or at least empathise w wat u're goin through. bt i find tt its a pity cause she's only in yr 1 if its really due to the stress level during attachment she cn still change course before its too late.
hai, so pls dun always think tt nursing is a easy job, just cleaning buttocks n stuff like tt. there're more things behind it tt u dun see.
sometimes it makes me wonder, y do ppl 'see' doc n nurse so differently. doc r the high rank ones, wat they say n do always rite. nurse veri easy one just clean butts n do dirty job. y do ppl view nursing as a dirty job? just becos we help to clean pts up? cn u imagine one day when u r old, havin difficulties in performin your basic activities of daily living, whose gonna help u? u will still need help from ppl isn't it? wwe're just the ones to help them clean up n take care of them nt just physically bt also psychological aspect too. its so unfair. doc needs nurse in order function vice versa. just like in OT, the doc cnnt do op w/o a scrub n circulating nurse.
anyway, i still enjoy nursing. sorri for all the naggin n grumbling. haha, i feel much better after sayin all out.. sorri to all the listening ears out there haha. love ya guys k haha.

yay! gt to scrub one case today - circumcision. gt one surgeon n 2nd surgeon(med. student) performin the op. the surgeon in charge is young, guess he's a prof ba cause seems to be like quite high rank like tt but he quite MCP. haha. he seems to b abit impatient with tt he students. haha. i'm so 'lucky' to assist him haha. anyway he also quite 'lucky' la both circumcision case gt assist be student haha. anyway, the sister guided us throughout the op so better nt so nervous la. bt then abit cnnt hear wat the surgeon say n then dun know how to identify some forceps. oops! haha. anyway, tomrow goin to induction rm. hmm, hope cn see n learn some stuff over there n dun 'lang ga' with tt surgeon agn so paiseh. cause he gave tt kind of "ohh, students in the ot agn." tt kinda look when we went in to the ot agn to observe after scrubbing the cases haha.

well to me, i see no wrong in goin for such op. if it cn help a person gain confidence y nt. though to some ppl it seems like everything on the person is fake. bt if the op can help a person gain confidence n changes her life y nt. anyway, everybody is superficial. well, i guess u'll often hear ppl say they dun mind the looks bt i doubt so. these r just lies to make ppl feel better haha. ya looks may nt matter alot, bt it does affect a person's perception towards another. thus, 1st impression is always impt. no offence for sayin all tis. its my own view, everybody has their own views, tt applies to u too.

had a busy day but its gd haha.
task completed: dress found, wedding present ordered to be collect on thurs, makeup for mon settled.
meet shan at jolie femme , tried out n reserve the dress i wanted for the dinner. went to town walk walk, search for present n help ting2 buy her shawl. had dinner with shan at 'my lao bei''s cafe haha. He still remembered us, gave us a 10% discount when we settle the bill, so paiseh haha.
found a wedding present, ordered. nw waitin to collect on thurs, gonna pass to the bride before sun. hope tt it will be useful to them on the wedding day haha.
shan found a bag tt she liked veri veri veri much. we named it 'hu huan wo' haha. its a joke btw us haha.
gonna work tomrow, i dun wannn.. i wish i could work alone haha.

things just dun seems to go smoothly for me lately. none of my business also come n look trouble for me. just get off my back! eeeeee.. wanna scold vulgarities man. but NO, i'm nt gonna be like some uneducated ppl, using innocent ppl as a punching bag. so sick! haha.

hmm, anyway i heard tis from a tv program today. 'God created 5 fingers with each of different shapes n sizes on each hand. He wanted us to learn to be like our thumb, strong, easy-going(it cn 'get along well with the rest of the fingers on tt hand) n unique(its short, does nt fight to be the 'first'). Unlike the middle finger, self-centered n arrogant.' It sounds logical to me haha.
tired of workin haha, workin 5 days/wk. i've yet to revise my ot n skills bk. gt to flip through before my ot attachment. gt no time le, workin almost everyday.
gt so many things nt done yet. still gt to get a white dress and a gift for my gd fren's wedding. i've nt prepared anythin yet. headache la. i'm lost haha, dun know how to put makeup, do my hair n most impt of all i dun know how to get there haha. gd fren wedding can't be her 'sis' tt day so must at least make the effort to dress nice nice ma haha. feel bad, wanted to be her sis so cn 'play' the groom haha, bt then of all, it clashes with my OT attachment (wanted to skip n pay back the attachment another day. but then its the 1st day of OT attachment impt no excuse to skip :( )
i dun think i'm enjoy my holi enough haha. umm, guess i should plan some activities tt i gt to achieve tis holi haha.

hurrayss.. haha. happen to meet up with dila @central after work yesterday. it has been only a few wks since we last met n its seems like mths haha. gt so much to catch up with each other. poor haron sittin there with his stomach grumbling, waitin for us to finish our 'end-less' conversation haha. anyway meet up soon agn k. take care, muacks.

today after work acc 'grandma' for supper. i controlled myself nt to eat haha so nw havin some milo* to quiet my hunger. haha. we chatted by the river later on. um, i'm nt down la dun worry k 'grandma'. just tt some stuffs u know, just disappointed in them.
nt realli happi workin anymore. gt politics @workplace though only gt 3 employees. wat a joke rite. haha. feel abit like their zhan zheng de xi sheng ping like tt haha. i just wanna enjoy p/t work n also earn some money for own allowance. bt if workin there becomes stressful n unhappi, then i guess there's no pt continue workin rite. moreover the boss attitude towards us also changed. hmm, should say tt there r politics everywhere. isn't it? so like u can't realli trust ayone in your workplace?? just dun wanna be bothered with these politics, i just wanna earn some extra allowance n tts it!

its been long since i last had a 'real' chat with celine. we hang ard clarke quay, stroll stroll stroll ard singpore river n clubbin area n decided to head back to central. we took ice-cream @ waraku. yeappi! yeappi! it looks appetising n taste yummi-licious. haha. so sinful!! aiyo. haha.
its so boring to work on wkdays. no crowd @ central. wkends better, makes me busy with work. time also pass faster ma. haha. borrowed a few vcds from ting2, dun know if gt time to finis them up anot haha.
so long since i last go clubbin haha. tomrow velvet dragon gt event for tertiary students. wanna go bt then i guess i'll be tired n it also depends on the friends u go with. u gt to go with the 'rite' friends to enjoy n be hyper. haha. right, dila?! Disappointed! was lookin forward to meetin up today bt then last min cancelled:( mm...
anyway, I went to catch 'No Reservations' sneak preview with shan just nw @bishan. didn't expect it to be so crowded with ppl cause its a wkday. anyway umm its a nice movie, i would rate it 3/5 stars. the songs in the movie were interesting haha.

after work, went for supper w shan n grandma joy. abes, everyday after work will go for supper. hai, have been puttin on wt since havin exams. Mmm, after supper shan wanted to have gals talk so acc her hang out at singapore river till ard one plus before we shared a cab hm. we were havin fun by ourselves, havin 'concert' n actin lame. haha.

yesterday, met up w chusin n amanda. hurrays! all of us manage to squeeze out some time for a short dinner from our busy schedule. hmm, mainly the topic evolves ard drivin la. haha, i gt no comments for tt haha. i'm the only one who has nt gone for any drivin lessons nt even the basic theory haha. Mmm, so i just enjoy their conversation haha. anyway, its really Great! to meet up w the gals. we hardly get the chance to do so. so must faster make appt with them to chop them for gatherin haha. anyway promised chusin acc her to bugis street to get herself a pair of black skinny jeans haha. Promise! haha. i'm gonna make myself free from work at least one day for next wk. haha. missed a few episodes of the 'shui hu wu jian dao':( dun know show till where le. hai. always attachment n work i'll missed all my tv programs haha. its a torture for a tv addict like me haha. tv addict! tv addict! tv addict!

met up w joy n cf just nw, its been long since we last had a chat. hmm, all of us busy with our work n life. its difficult to meet up often. we update one another abt our lives, tok abt our 'planned future' n the sec sch life tt we missed.
hm, looks like the older we grow, the more 'burdens' n decisions we have to make in life. we wished we could return back to the sec one n two lives, whereby we just simply enjoy spendin our time in sch n at hm watchin tv, sleepin, chattin on phone. bt we know tts impossible.
another semester of attachment to go n i'm graduating. its so 'unbelievable' haha. i know it sounds funny, bt sometimes i wonder how did i manage to struggle through the bks, exams n attachments haha. i've made up my mind long ago i wan to be a nurse (so peeps, dun ask me "u really wan to be a nurse when u graduate ah". u dun have to support nursing as a prospect career bt i just wan your moral support in the decision tt i've made if possible. thanks.) since i have decided to choose nursing before i get my 'o' levels results.
i'm a person who dun believe in forever. so i believe just cherish wat to have nw cause u will nt know when u will lose it. the next day, hr, min, or even the next sec. since everything is so unpredictable, y nt just enjoy every min n sec of happiness tt u have. at least, at the end of your life you cn say to yourself tt u have experienced n enjoyed with a smile. ;)
